Here's something interesting, Upgraded a computer from Windows 2000 to XP and Internet Explorer 8 installs and works just fine but the menu bar is completely Blacked Out! really weird. Uninstall and install IE7, it's all good.
Another reason not to use Internet Explorer at all.
